Beauty Favorites 12/15

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a great day. This month, I have a few products that I would love to tell you guys about. Lets get started!

1) CARGO Gel Lip Color:

This was sent to me from CARGO’s latest instagram promotion, where you had to have three friends follow their instagram and they would send you a gift. My gift was one of these lipsticks and let’s just say they are amazing. They have extremely high pigmentation (they could be a lip stain.) Also, they are not streaky and a little bit goes a long way. I have included swatches of the lipstick below.

As you can see, it is a very nice almost berry color, that is highly pigmented. It does apply lighter on the lips, but I don’t think my camera truly captured the lipsticks high pigmentation and beautiful berry color. The packaging is also so cute! I have never tried out cargo cosmetics prior to this, but I am extremely impressed with their brand!

2) Tarte BB Tinted Treatment 12 Hour Primer SPF 30:

I am not going to post swatches because this stuff just becomes part of my skin. It makes you look like you aren’t wearing any makeup while giving you lots of coverage. It also primes so you don’t need a separate primer! I use this every day! Screen Shot 2015-12-09 at 8.39.47 PM

I think this is it! I know that it’s really short, but I didn’t have many favorites this month. As it is only the beginning of the month, I will add more if I find any new products. Also, comment your December favs and I will try some of them out! Maybe I will add them to the list if I like them! I hope you guys have a great holiday season!

XOXO,

Denise

Beauty Favorites! (11/15)

Hi guys! I’m sorry that I haven’t posted in a while! I was so busy with schoolwork and life was pretty crazy. But, I’m back! So every month, I’m going to do a beauty favorites. This will be a list of 5 beauty/hair/skincare products that I think are worth trying. I hope you enjoy this post and don’t forget to follow my blog! Also, this is an honest post and I am not getting paid by any of these companies.

Drum roll please…

1) Dennis Gross One Step Acne Eliminating Pads: ($38)

I have some acne and using one pre-soaked pad on my face right after I clean it has done wonders for me. When you put on the product it does sting, but that goes away quickly and it is worth it for the amazing results. It is not exactly cheap, but it is worth every penny! s1497858-main-hero-300.jpg2) Sephora Rouge Infusion Lip Stain in Peony: ($14)

This lip stain is so pretty! Especially the color Peony, it is like a dark magenta with a semi-matte finish. I have not tried the other colors, but I am sure that you will find a color that suits you because there are 15 to choose from! The only thing that I don’t like about this lip stain is the smell. The perfume is way strong and just smells weird. However, this is still a great lip stain.

3) Not Your Mother’s Long and Strong Shampoo: ($6)

I am trying to grow out my hair and this shampoo (I don’t use conditioner) has made my hair noticeably longer and well, stronger. It smells great and the packaging is so cute which is always a plus!

4) Smashbox Pore Minimizing Primer: ($39)

This is really good for making large pores appear smaller. It’s also great or eliminating shine! It is expensive, but I never put on makeup without it.

5) Burt’s Bees Lip Crayons: ($9)

I love these because they have a nice color and they are 100% natural. I have the shades Carolina Coast, Sedona Sands, and Niagara Overlook. Niagara Overlook is my favorite because it is a very pretty pink that is vibrant without being too bright.

October Ipsy Glam Bag Review

So I know that I was going to do a tutorial on how to get free stickers, but I’ve been busy lately. I am doing this review because I love ipsy and have for a long time.

Ipsy is a monthly beauty (makeup, hair) subscription service that is $10 per month. It is a pretty good deal, and all of your items come in a really cute bag! There is also a theme for each month. This month’s theme was alter-ego! By the way, you can sign up here.

Items I received:

Emite Makeup Slant Tweezers (Full Size: $35)

Thoughts: I don’t really use tweezers that often so I didn’t really care for these. But, they are $52 and I got them in a $10 subscription which is pretty good.

Dose Color Pill Nail Polish in Stormy (I can’t seem to find a price or a link for these :/)

Thoughts: I like the color, because I don’t really own anything like it. The bottom is round, so it is hard to use, but I’ll manage. 🙂

Peter Lamas Exfoliating Pumpkin Facial Scrub (Full Size: $28; Sample: $7)

Thoughts: This is probably my favorite product in the bag. It smells AMAZING and it exfoliates well. I will probably purchase this again its way better than St. Ives.

The Balm Meet Matt(e) Hughes (Full Size: $17; Sample $2.75)

Thoughts: It is really small, but I enjoyed it. I love matte lipsticks because they look really pretty. This color was very natural which I liked :). Although I like it, there are better lipsticks out there.

Lavanila Laboratories Pure Deluxe Roller Ball (Sample: $12)

Thoughts: This is the worst thing I have ever smelled. I generally hate getting fragrance samples, but this was the worst. The smell is so bad that it gave me a headache. This is really not worth $12.

Overall Rating: 3/5

Total Value: $57.75 (not including the nail polish)

Final Thoughts: I liked the Pumpkin Facial Scrub a lot, but hated the perfume. Everything else was just average. This was one of the worse boxes, but it was still a great value for only $10.
