Monthly Favorites | January 2016

Hi guys! I hope you guys are doing well. I completely forgot to post this tow days ago, so sorry about that! So every month I post a few favorites so you can possibly try them out too! Lets get into it…

This is what the bottle looks like.

1. Model in a Bottle Setting Spray ($18)

I love how this stuff really does make my makeup stay on longer and is as good as the Urban Decay Setting Spray at almost half the price. The packaging is just a bottle with a silver cap. The cap is easy to take off which is really convenient. It also has a matte finish which is essential for my oily skin. I would definitely try this out if you have oily skin. If you are more on the sensitive side, they I would try out their Sensitive Skin Setting Spray, which can be found here

2. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Cannes ($6)

This is the first ever matte lipstick that I have tried from NYX (sad I know!) I completely fell in love with the color as soon as I put it on! It is a MLBB (my lips but better) color, which you guys know I’m obsessed with. This is probably the least drying matte liquid lipstick that I’ve ever tried. It actually moisturizes my lips! The packaging is standard, nothing special or bad, and the applicator is a doe foot, which is what I usually prefer. I would totally recommend trying these lipsticks if you haven’t before because they are so worth it!

As you can see, this is just a standard tube.

3. Bioderma Sébium H2O

This is a micellar water, which means that you put it on your face to wipe off makeup, and cleanse the skin. I have oily skin, so the Sébium line is perfect for me! There are also other micellar waters for many different skin types. I love how it removes my makeup so easily without drying out my skin (the Garnier Micellar Water does this) which is why I use it so often. The bottle is just standard plastic with a cap. The liquid is blue (not sure why) but that doesn’t change anything.

These are (from left to right) the Real Techniques Bold Metals Set Foundation Brush, Contour Brush, and the Arched Powder Brush.

4. Real Techniques Arched Powder Brush ($26)

I admit, I bought this brush because of the hype around it and how beautiful they looked. It is metal in the middle, but I feel like the actual handle is plastic. I love how soft the bristles are and how it is weighted. I don’t use this brush for powder, but I use it for blush instead! It picks up the perfect amount of product and the shape is really great for application. It is a bit pricey, but you can find it for $16 on Amazon here. I would recommend buying one brush from the Bold Metals before making the splurge, but I do love this brush the most.

The bottle is just a standard tube, which is convenient.

5. Bioderma Sebum Gel Gommant

This is a really good exfoliator, because it really digs into my skin without irritating it. It also makes my makeup just slide off! It’s almost magic. I love multitasking products and if you do too, this will be really good for you. It also smells really good and the packaging is great too. Overall, I totally recommend this.

So that’s it for this month guys! I hope you try out some of these products and let me know what you think of them. Also, tell me what your favorites are and I’ll check them out! Don’t forget to follow my blog and instagram (@winterfoxesblog) for more updates.

  1. Thanks for the comment on my blog! 🙂 I was thinking of purchasing the Real Techniques Arched Powder Brush and now seeing your post, I think I’ll have to buy it soon! XD Anyway, how do you find the flat contour brush? Is it good too?

    • No problem! I use the Arched Powder Brush every day. I use one side for powders and the other side for blush! It is such a great multi-tasker. As for the contour brush, I like to use it for cream contours. It is also really good for a sharp/defined contour, but it is hard to blend the product out. In short, I don’t hate it, but there are better contour brushes out there.

  3. Oooo I’ve been wanting to try the nyx matte Lipstick for a while now, it’s good to hear that it’s not too drying! May have to give it a go now 😁

    • I totally would! Also, you can use the promo code FF20 for 20% off too! It is such a great product, and I find myself using it more than my Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray!
